Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 25, 2025

EDM Health, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” or “us”) operates the website xxxxx to offer digital wellness and nutrition courses. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and your rights. We have drafted this policy to comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Information We Collect

Personal Information: We only collect basic personal information that you provide to us, such as your name, email address, and phone number. These identifiers are considered “personally identifiable information” under California law. We do not collect any sensitive personal information – for example, we do not ask for or store health data, social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account details, or other sensitive categories. We also do not collect or store payment card information on our servers. (Any payments for our digital courses are handled securely by third-party payment processors, and we do not see or retain your credit card numbers.) We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13, and our services are intended for adults (see our Terms of Service regarding age restrictions).

Usage Data: When you visit our site, we may automatically collect limited information about your device and browsing actions for the legitimate purpose of maintaining and improving our service. This may include data such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the dates/times of access. We use this information to help diagnose technical issues and to analyze overall traffic trends. We do not use this data to personally identify you, and we do not track you across third-party websites for targeted advertising.

Cookies: Our website may use “cookies” or similar technologies (small text files stored in your browser) to provide essential site functionality (such as keeping you logged in or remembering preferences) and to gather aggregate analytics about site usage. These cookies do not collect personal details beyond what you have provided. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Please note that if you disable cookies, some features of our site may not function properly.

How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information you provide only for legitimate business purposes, including:
  • Providing and Improving Services: To register you for courses, create your user account, process your course purchases, and deliver the digital content you’ve requested. We also use your info to personalize your learning experience and improve our offerings over time.
  • Communications: To communicate with you about your account or transactions (e.g. purchase confirmations, course access details, technical notices, updates). We may also send you informational or promotional emails about new courses or wellness tips, but you have the option to opt out of marketing communications at any time. Every marketing email will include an “unsubscribe” link.
  • Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries, requests, or feedback. For example, if you email us with a question, we will use your contact information to reply.
  • Legal Compliance and Prevention: To comply with applicable laws or regulations (such as fulfilling tax or accounting obligations). We may also use or disclose information as needed to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users or others – for example, to prevent fraud, security breaches, or other potentially illegal activities.
We will not use your personal information for any purpose that is incompatible with the purposes disclosed above without updating this Privacy Policy and, if required by law, obtaining your consent.

How We Share or Disclose Information

We value your privacy. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. In the past 12 months, we have not sold any personal information, and we have no plans to do so. We also do not share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

However, we do share certain information with trusted third parties under the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party companies that perform services on our behalf only for our business purposes. This includes, for example, companies that host our website, process payments, manage our email newsletter, provide learning management platforms, or analyze website performance. These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only as necessary to provide their services to us.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process (such as a subpoena, court order, or government request). We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to investigate or enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements, to detect or prevent fraud or security issues, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of our company, our users, or the public.
Except for the limited scenarios above, we will not share, rent, license, or disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent.

Your Rights and Choices

Access and Correction: You have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and to request access to that information. You may also request that we correct or update any inaccurate personal information in our records. If you have an online account with us, you can log in to review and update certain information (like your contact details) directly. For other access or correction requests, please contact us as described in the “Contact Us” section below.

Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will delete your personal data (and direct our service providers to do the same), unless an exception applies. Please note that the law allows us to retain certain information for specific purposes, for example: to complete transactions you have requested, to detect security incidents or fraud, to comply with a legal obligation, or other such exceptions. If we must retain any data for these reasons, we will inform you.

Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: The CCPA gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. However, as noted above, we do not sell or share your data in a way that triggers this right. We treat all user requests regarding personal information with equal respect. If in the future we ever contemplated selling personal data, we would update our practices and provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link as required by law. For now, rest assured that this is not applicable – we do not sell personal data.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information: Under the CPRA, California residents can direct businesses to limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information. However, our Company does not collect or process sensitive personal data (such as health information or precise geolocation) as defined by law. Therefore, there is no sensitive data for us to limit. If that ever changes, we will provide appropriate opt-out mechanisms.

Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. This means, for instance, we will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised your rights under the CCPA. (In general, the price of our courses is the same for everyone, and if you exercise your privacy rights, we will continue to treat you fairly and equally.)
To submit any request regarding your personal information, you can contact us at the email or mailing address provided in the “Contact Us” section. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests (for example, by confirming information we already have on file) to protect your privacy. If you are a California resident, you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, but the agent must present proof of their authorization and we may still require you to verify your identity directly.
Email Preferences: If you have signed up for our newsletter or marketing emails, you may unsubscribe at any time. Simply click the “unsubscribe” link in any promotional email, or contact us and request to be removed from our mailing list. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you transactional or account-related messages (such as purchase confirmations or critical service updates) when necessary.

Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting that lets you signal your preference regarding tracking by websites. CalOPPA requires us to disclose how we respond to DNT signals. Currently, our site does not respond to these browser DNT signals. In other words, if you enable Do Not Track in your browser, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices, because there is not yet an industry consensus on how to interpret DNT signals. However, please remember that we limit our tracking to basic functional and analytics purposes as described above, and we do not engage in behavioral advertising. We will update this notice if our practices change in the future.

Security of Your Information

We take reasonable measures to protect the security of your personal information. Our website is secured using standard encryption technology (such as HTTPS for data transfer) and we implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. For example, we limit access to personal information to only those personnel and service providers who need it to perform their duties. However, no website or internet transmission is completely secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data. You share and transmit information at your own risk, and we recommend that you use strong passwords and take steps to protect against unauthorized access to your account and personal information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy. If changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (such as by email notification or a notice on our website). We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of the site after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
